Hello friends! What a busy few days it’s been. I just got back from a super trip to Gift Mart in Atlanta. It was a perfect trip except for being perfectly ill for a few days. But no matter!
For starters, my dear friend and travel buddy, Lisa Levy made the wise decision to check her scissors (we won’t talk about the whereabouts of her knitting needles). We enjoyed an uneventful flight – just the kind I like – followed by check-in at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. This was my first time staying at this particular property and I was thrilled not just with the location but the hotel and service as well. Sear, one of the hotel’s many restaurants, was divine and, as I said to a friend, ‘Any hotel with a Starbucks in it gets my vote.’ So thank you, Marriott!
Of course, the best thing about market are the fabulous people; catching up with old friends (shout-outs to Rick and Cissy from Ladue Pharmacy and Sarah from Monograms Plus!) and connecting with new ones, if only just for a few moments.
On Sunday, at Ganz, I did just that. For a few hours, I was lucky enough to sign and give away 250 of my Girl Power bow memo pads and meet so many wonderful people. I realized as I chatted briefly with each person, that all of us on this planet are the same. We all need and want the same things – that power of connection. Thank you to all of you who stopped by and shared yourself with me.
Speaking of trends, why not follow my blog to keep up with me and the new designs I’ll be rolling out in 2011 with Ganz – and elsewhere! Here’s to seeing you all soon!
