Laura’s Lopsided Patriotic LoveMobile

Welcome to my first I LOVE THE USA blog hop project!

The projects in this hop were created with my new patriotic, “America The Beautiful” fabric manufactured for Jo-Ann Fabrics.  And now…introducing Laura’s Lopsided Patriotic LoveMobile…

I used the pattern created by Paige Stanley Miller, titled ‘Bon Vivant Coupe Car Stuffie‘ and got a little sewing help from my friend, Katie Berry (who also is participating in this hop).  We altered the pattern a little to make the wheels detach slightly.  Fiskars contributed scissors to the designers for this event and they worked like a total charm!

Katie sewed it up (because I am afraid of my sewing machine – a fear I will overcome very soon as I am so inspired).

I added the wheels, windows and handle cutouts with Phoomph from Coats and Clark.

Something else to love -   Little Paper and Button Crafted Flower Projects

Then I used embroidery floss (also from Coats and Clark) to stitch up license plates for the front and back of the car and added a few button stacks to embellish.  The buttons are from my Patriotic Mix available at Buttons Galore.

I am happy with how it turned out, patriotically festive and a little lopsided (kind of like myself).

If you want to hop around and see more of the projects for this event, we would all love for you to join us in the adventure.

There are prizes if you are interested in entering!   a Rafflecopter giveaway

Happy Patriotic Crafting!  Thanks for participating in the “I LOVE THE USA” Blog Hop!

Cheers,

Laura
