Yesterday was Krylon‘s finale of 24 projects in 24 hours…big awesome projects. It was awesome to watch Jen from Tater Tots and Jello with her team complete so many amazing things. I was inspired so I decided to run out and buy some and do my own, on a much smaller scale of course. I had no idea that $30 worth of paint would create so much energy, fun and creativity in my home. It was AWESOME!
Here are my materials!
I spray painted the flower pot blue (Gloss True Blue to be exact), applying several coats. I made a makeshift spray paint station on my deck. My first spray paint lesson was to be PATIENT! It takes a little bit of time to cure and dry.
Then I cut out two hearts from a napkin and used glossy Mod Podge to put one on the front and one on the back of the pot. I used the Mod Podge to attache the ribbon around the top of the pot too and then let that all dry.
I strung a few buttons (my custom colored buttons from Buttons Galore) and a bead that I painted with Krylon’s Gloss Black and polka dotted with Plaid’s Folk Art white (I made a bunch of these at once to use on lots of projects) onto floral wire then wrapped it around the pot and twisted the wire tight.
I added a geranium and made a little sign to go in the pot with it. I like it indoors and outdoors so can’t decide where to put it.
It is going to make a great addition to the photos for my posts on Doll Diaires this week too! Thanks Krylon, for making great paint in great colors and for doing 24 in 24 which was totally inspiring.
If you want to make the sign, here is a download of the design for your personal use! SURPRISE, there is a puzzle in the download too!
Happy Creating All Week Long! There are so many awesome patriotic projects out there to do.
