Dolls love to dress up and celebrate holidays too! Or really little girls (of all ages) like to dress up their dolls to celebrate holidays with them. Whichever it is, this week on Doll Diaries I posted a project on how to make patriotic denim shorts from boring doll jeans.
If you make them, you will have two pant leg remnants that you an use to make this fun addition to the outfit.
Then add a little decoration of your liking if you wish and stitch in a ribbon handle. I used a scrap piece of ribbon, embroidery floss and a Radically Red button.
To make the sit-upon, cut the other leg open and cut a matching piece of fabric or felt for the other side. Use PHOOPH to put the two pieces together. It rolls up and fits in the bag.
Wah-lah! Now you will have a great little addition to your dolls’ accessories made from remnants. It makes me think of my mom’s friend Barbara growing up and her saying, “Use it up. Wear it Out. Make it do or do without.” I miss her and know that she would have liked this. 🙂
