Before you start baking, plan to hide a cupcake for yourself when they come out of the oven. These are so amazing that if you wait, there will not be any left for you.
You don’t need a a campfire to enjoy the greatness of s’mores with family and friends. You can bake these delicious brownie cupcakes right at home. They are perfect for camping sleep-ins for little kids or for a fabulous dessert on the night before your big kids head out off for camp.
You will need the following ingredients:
Brownie Mix (and whatever it calls for), Mini Marshmallows, Stick of Butter and Graham Cracker Crumbs.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees then slice the stick of butter and put a skinny slice in the bottom of each of the 12 openings in a cupcake pan. Stick in the oven just long enough to letter the butter melt.
Add 1 TBSP of Graham Cracker Crumbs to each.
Make your brownie batter and add 1/4 C to each opening,
Then top with a layer of marshmallows.
Bake for 30 minutes. If your marshmallows appear to be browning more than you would like, put the pan on the bottom shelf in the oven and put a baking sheet on the top shelf. This will help.
When they have cooled, remove them from the pan and add your decorations. You can use the free ones in the download provided if you like them. Click on the picture below for the file.
Don’t forget to cut out and save your Box Tops for Education when you cool and bake! They make a BIG HUGE difference for schools. If you don’t have a kid collecting, find a neighbor or drop them off at a school near you.
Happy Baking, Happy S’mores and Happy Camping!
