The other day my friend Katie stopped by with her wild, amazing, fun, adorable and energetic little guys. They brought me GIGI’s Cupcakes for my birthday!!! I knew they were coming so I was all set up to help them tie-dye their own t-shirts for the beach. I chose to use Rit Dye – green (candy apple green) and blue (royal and aquamarine) dyes because they are currently big fans of Monsters University!
They were so excited. Benjamin, age 3, totally got into it. He tore into the bag from AC Moore to get the t-shirts out.
He was the master of the rubber band ball. Landon, age 6, was a little more cautious and actually thought about wearing the rubber gloves the entire time. They both ended up taking them off.
With a little bit of mommy (and me) help for the dipping, heat setting and rinsing…they totally did it.
It took some patience but they eventually were dry enough…
I love these little guys. They are such a reminder of life when Dylan and Dawson were their ages. I am lucky to have their mom and both of them for friends!
For directions on how to use Rit Dye, visit the Rit Studio or follow the directions on the packaging. It is a BLAST of fun!
Happy Creating and Happy Summer,
