Welcome to the Me and My Peeps Blog Hop! This adventure features lots of fabulous designers and the creative ways that they used my licensed Me and My Peeps decals (manufactured by Plaid) along with my Laura Kelly collection of buttons from Buttons Galore and More.
Here is a fun and creative way to make a family place to share information, schedules, notes and masterpieces. I found an old bulletin board that need a crafty uplift (big bulletin boards can get expensive!) and stripped it down for a makeover.
I removed all of the old ribbons from the borders and ironed them to be used again. I just could not bare to throw bright fun ribbons away. I also trimmed frayed ends. I added them to the material I planned to use (My Mixed Collection of Buttons from Buttons Galore, Adtech Glue Gun and Glue Sticks, Additional Ribbon and Thumbtacks).
Then I painted the bulletin board with two coats of black paint. Across the top 8 inches, I applied two coats of Hard Coat Mod Podge to get a surface that would be best for applying the Me and My Peeps decals.
When the borders were done, I added the Me and My Peeps decals. I placed them first for positioning then applied them according to the directions.
When it was completed I put it up and used some fun ribbon flower thumbtacks to add some family stuff.
I love it! I love that it represents my family and it creates a BIG place in our home for sharing and communicating!
IMPORTANT NOTE: I saved the packaging from the decals when I was done. It is what I used to create my projects for this blog hop for the next two days here. Check back tomorrow and Thursday to see some creativity from the package inserts. Waste not, want not!
There is also an awesome giveaway.
