I love to create and experiment. I decided to mix up my methods and try something new out. Yesterday I happened to have a blank canvas calling my name from the studio, so I grabbed it and doodled some flowers onto it…with Elmer’s Glue. I set it aside and this morning it was dry and ready for some color.
I took it out to my deck to paint it…with Rit Dye, straight from the bottles. It was a little messy but fun to figure out how the dye worked on the canvas.
After all of the painting was complete, I put it in a big Ziploc bag and microwaved it for 30 seconds then took it out and rinsed it in the kitchen sink.
When it was dry, I put it in a frame and hung it up. Now it is a little bit of garden on my kitchen wall.
Happy Creating, Experimenting and Playing With Glue and Color,
