Let me start by saying that I am super hard on myself! Once I get past that…I am proud of what I have created so far, mostly my awesome family!
And right with that, my career made of dreams. I get to doodle with Sharpies that have my name on them (a gift from Sharpie)…and be paid for it.
I even have my own Sharpie Avatar from being on the Sharpie Squad.
The doodles turn into designs in my portfolio and they are licensed all over the world.
I get to exhibit at cool trade shows like Surtex and CHA.
I get to dye things bright colors at pajama parties and get paid for it.
I get to try out new products and use them to create projects for my kids (with my brands)…and get paid!
I even have my own brand of buttons…
and books and calendars for moms…
and I get to doodle great people into Peeps of their own…
and so much more!
I mostly love that I get to put it all together and lead workshops and teach classes and make a difference with children, the Southwestern Institute for Research on Women, in schools, with the Girl Scouts…
My job is to live life to the fullest everywhere I go and share my creative spirit. I LOVE my career (life) AND I wish I were better at blogging my journey. When it comes to this blogging thing, I always feel so inadequate and far behind the learning curve. I struggle to post things because my photography isn’t good enough or my directions are clear enough or my content might be considered boring…blah blah blah!
ENOUGH I said.
Soooooo……I decided to do something about it and I enrolled myself into attending the Bloggy Conference for Mommy Bloggers in Ohio in September. I am counting down the days! I am picking and choosing which seminars I want to attend like candy in a candy shop. I have two of my bestest craftiest friends going now too, Katie and Niki! We are going to have FUN, learn lots and be better moms because we got away and had girl time. We are going to be better bloggers because we are planning to learn as much as we can.
So get ready. I declare that in the 4th quarter, this blog is getting a MAKEOVER! I am determined, excited, nervous and ready!
I get to travel with Me and My Peeps and get paid for it! That totally rocks.
Thank you to my loving husband for being my partner on this journey and to our four amazing children for participating in the things that make life fun. Thank you to my three traveling blogging roomies…Jen, Niki and Carla! Without you three, I would never have had the guts to share in this social platform called blogging. I know I will be counting on you all as I take on this growth and learning.
Thank you to all of you who take time to read this.
