I love the way the Boxtops for Education program works. It is August and that means back to school time. And that means RAISING money so our students and teacher can have everything that they need and want to create the best learning environments possible. Having taught elementary school before becoming an artist, I know how important every penny is for a classroom! Boxtops for Education is a fabulous program that helps lots of schools with funding to purchase things for the students and class.
Sometimes finding a place to keep them until the children take them in is the tricky part. Here is a fun way to up-cycle a Mason Jar into a fun home for the cutout Boxtops until it is time to send them in. Use Beacon Multi-Grip glue to attach letters and buttons to the jar. This glue is awesome and strong so it will hold. Use ribbons and whatever else you have around the house that is fun to decorate the jar in a way that you like having it out as a reminder to clip and save.
If you fill the jar up, here is a fun printable sheet to color then tape the cutouts to for sending them in so you can hang on to your jar.
