There are tons of great DIY ideas out there for teachers, and I mean loads and loads of them. Here is one that I thought up tonight that I am pretty excited about using buttons, ribbon and HOT glue to make a stand to showcase a favorite, book or framed work. It might be a great place to keep the current read aloud classroom story!
This is what I used: Radically Red Buttons from Laura Kelly’s Collection at Buttons Galore, Green Ribbon, Black Foam Core and Adtech Hot Glue with the Fancy Glue Gun.
I cut out the apple using the pattern in the attach FREE downloadable printable. PS: It has a word search on it too to keep your kids busy while you create.
Then I covered the apple with the red buttons using hot glue, attached a stem and leaf with the ribbon and hot glued it to the easel stand.
I love books so I know if I were teaching again and got this, I would use it for books!
