For day thirteen of Thirty Days of Halloween with Me, Laura (#30DaysofHalloweenWithMe) I am sharing a pumpkin made with buttons! I love lots of witch characters in literature and theater and Elpheba from WICKED is one of my favorites. This year my Elpheba doll is going for a bike ride to trick or treat with her Outrageous Orange Pumpkin Bag!
To make it, you will need a foam ball, buttons, straight pins with ball ends and ribbon. Attach orange buttons to a Styrofoam ball using straight pins with ball ends. I used Laura Kelly’s Outrageous Orange buttons from Buttons Galore and More. They can be bought by the bag full! Cover the ball to your liking with the buttons.
Cut two pieces of grosgrain green ribbon into 6 inch lengths. Fold the ribbon to make leaves and attach to the ball using straight pins.
Cut a piece of orange ribbon into an 8 inch piece and attach it to the ball to create a pumpkin bag handle (or a hanger if you prefer it be an ornament).
