These jar wraps make a recycled jar become a masterpiece for flowers or candles (or candies or drinks…)! Happy Day twenty-two of Thirty Days of Halloween With Me, Laura (#30DaysOfHalloweenWithMe). Today is also the first day of Autumn so today’s project is a little more about the season than the upcoming holiday!
I found two jars in need of up-cycling and then chose two of my new trims from M&J Trimmings in Manhattan. I decided to use Cocoa Brown Liquid Rit Dye then measured and cut the trims to fit the jars. I used a small mason jar to dye in so I could save the leftover for the next project needing Cocoa Brown. The trick to getting a good color is using hot water! If you do save your dye for future projects, know that you might need to add some dye as the fabrics take the color out a little each time.
When the dyed burlap trim dried, I used hot glue to adhere it to the jar then added fresh foliage to one and a candle to the other.
Happy First Day of Autumn and Happy Decorating,
Laura
