For day twenty-seven of Thirty Days of Halloween With Me, Laura (#30DaysOfHalloweenWithMe) I am excited to share this wooden pumpkin patch. Creating it was really fun.
I used wooden blocks, trims from M and J Trimmings in NYC and corks for stems…all materials dyed in Rit Dyes! I am in love with dyeing burlap trims. I bought tons of awesome product when I was in M & J Trimmings last week and can’t wait to create so many more things.
After everything was dyed in the Tangerine, Cocoa Brown and Apple Green color baths, I let them dry completely before using hot glue to put them together. To get the newly dyed Green Apple colored burlap trim to be curly, I wrapped it around my mop handle and used Hard Coat Mod Podge to form it.
I love the patch!
Happy Dyeing Pumpkins and Trims,
PS: If you like the square pumpkin picture frame, you can get the details on how I made it on my Fifteen MINUTE Friday post for Buttons Galore.
