This is my second project for the Jen Goode Pink Ribbon RollaGraph Stamp Hop!
First I tie-dyed a white standard pillow case using the bunch it up and band it then dip dye in hot water technique.
While it was sitting in my sink rinsing, I used the awesome Ribbon Stamp Wheel and rolled it in heated Fuchia Rit Dye then rolled it on an old pair of khaki pants (wet). I then rinsed the pant leg in cold water which allowed the dye to spread and cut out the piece that I wanted to use to decorate my tote bag to hold the tie-dyed pink pillowcase. When it was rinsed and dried, I stitched it onto a tote bag and use the excess to tie a ribbon to the handle. The pink buttons are Wild Raspberry from my Laura Kelly collection for Buttons Galore
I think this would be a really caring gift to give a friend during her days of battling the horrible breast cancer disease. She could take it during chemo treatments, surgeries or testing visits. She could use the little bag for treats and necessary items when the pillowcase made it onto a pillow.
This blog hop is filled with awesome ideas. Please check out what some of the other designers have come up with.
