This past week has been a busy one…making things and dying up fun. We dyed pieces Daddy’s t-shirts with Rit Dye in Tangerine (used in pumpkin decor at bottom of post) to make scarves and had extra scraps of the white left over. I didn’t want to throw them away so I decided to turn them into some Halloween decor including these quick and easy t-shirt ghost.
I just took a scrap of t-shirt and cut the biggest rectangle I could get from it. Then I cut along the long edge to get a scrap I could use to tie with. I bunched up the rest to make the head and tied it in with the long scrap. I added to buttons (Black Beauty from my collection available through Buttons Galore) to make eyes and stitched a white string tie for hanging.
I tried it in a few places attempting to find the spookiest home. I started in the bushes.
Then went to the wall.
And ended up above the fairy wall.
I like it everywhere so I guess this weekend we will be creating some more spooky craft time to give this ghost a family. BTW, I made a pumpkin with the scrap of t-shirt from our tie-dyed scarves and it is over on Buttons Galore’s blog today. I love the way it looks on the fairy wall.
