Everyone who knows Ryp’s mom knows that she loves to drink good hot tea. For the holidays, we got her some special blends in New York and this is how we wrapped up the first one for her place setting at the Thanksgiving table, in a jar.
We traced the inside of the Mason Jar lid onto black foam and cut it out about a 1/2 inch in all the way around then used low temp Ad-Tech hot glue to stick it to the lid insert.
After that we added Bold Brown buttons from my Laura Kelly collection with Buttons Galore and More to create a turkey body then added pipe cleaners cut in half and bent to make the feathers. We also used pipe cleaners for feet and his gobbler. To complete we added google eyes and an Outrageous Orange buttons for a beak.
We filled the jar with specialty loose tea, a pretty tea maker and a little jar of honey. She is going to gobble gobble over it.
If you sneak on and read this before Thanksgiving, we love you Grandma Helen and can’t wait for you to get here. XOXOXO
Happy Gobbling and Drinking Tea,
