I love to make popcorn mixes for parties, events and celebrations. This one is fun for wintertime celebrations, New Year’s Eve and other times that you want a glistening white sparkle of a treat.
These are the ingredients you will need:
- 2 bags popped microwave popcorn
- 8 ounces almond bark
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 2 TB butter or margarine
- Sprinkles and/or Crystal Sugars
Spread popped popcorn in the bottom of a 9×11 glass baking dish. Mix all ingredients in a double boiler until runny consistency then evenly pour over popcorn. While still hot, add your sprinkles/sugars to the top then place in fridge to harden. Once hardened, break apart to serve. You can also shake it up in a large lidded bowl if you want it really broken up.
You can put it in a jar and give it as a gift.
You can serve it at a party in a bowl.
You can bag it and give it out for favors or holiday treats.
There are tons of variations for this depending on what sprinkles and sugars you use. You can also add candies but be careful of the kinds that are covered in dyes because they will leak into your hot mixture.
Here is a fun Christmas mix.
