Homemade Caramels For My Valentine

Ryp loves caramels so I am making homemade ones for him this year, my Valentine!  To start testing recipes, I used one from The Food Network to make the actual caramel candies, modifying to use the HimalaSalt.

The process was long but totally worth it because they are delicious and amazing and super yummy!

After I wrapped them in the parchment paper and twisted the ends, I decided they needed something a little more Valentines Dayish to make them special.  I used embroidery floss from Coats and Clark to tie bows on the ends and then a Sharpie marker to “heart” them.

Then they were not only delectable but also adorable.  I am not waiting, I am giving them to him when he flies back into town.  Otherwise, I will eat them all up.

Happy making Valentines Day treats and wrapping them up with love,

Those look good! I have thought about making caramels, but I have never gotten around to trying it.
