Not being a huge lover of cabbage when it is plain, I am astounded at how much I love this recipe. I had a head of cabbage and and onion to use so I got creative in the kitchen.
I was up for something crispy so I cranked the oven to 450 degrees and prepared to roast and pepper it. These are the ingredients I used (plus pepper…)!
While the over was preheating, I lightly sauteed an onion all diced up in 1/4 cup of butter.
I cut the cabbage into 1/2 inch slices and put them on a baking dish.
Then I spread the onions out over the top of the cabbage slices and sprinkled heavily with Janes Mixed Up Salt and Pepper. Then I popped it into the oven to roast.
Ta Da! 40 minutes later it was roasted and ready to eat. Delicious.
Ryp added Bragg’s to his! I tasted it and added some to mine too. Yummy stuff!
I think for St. Patrick’s Day, we might have to make this and serve the corned beef on the side!
Happy Creative Cooking with Cabbage,
