In the after Christmas sales, I found these yummy candy chips at A.C. Moore that melt and decided they would be perfect for making Valentines Day treats (vanilla red and peppermint white). I tasted them and decided that they were yummy enough to stand alone and became determined to make them into hearts. I did it.
I lined a cookie sheet with wax paper then put metal cookie cutters (sprayed with Pam) in heart shapes on top of it. I filled them 1/2 way up with the chips.
I baked then for 10 minutes at 300 degrees then pulled out of the oven and put into refrigerator. When I took them out (about 30 minutes later), they came right out of the cutters.
They are totally adorable for passing out as Valentines. Easy and yummy – works for me!
