Pancakes are such a fun part of a breakfast menu, especially when they are created with love (and Clabber Girl Baking Powder) then shaped like hearts for Valentines Day! This recipe is easy and makes great fluffy yummy masterpieces.
You will need the following ingredients:
- 1 ½ C Flour
- 4 Tsp Clabber Girl Baking Powder
- 2 TB White Sugar
- 1 ¼ C Whole Milk
- 1 Egg, Beaten (or 2 Whites)
- 4 TB Butter (Melted)
- Red Food Coloring
To make the pancakes…
Mix all ingredients by whisking them together.
then cook on a griddle into whatever pancake shapes you want. I used heart cookie cutters. If you use cutters, make sure they are metal and don’t touch them with bare hands while they are cooking. Spray them with Pam before you cook to help keep the pancakes from sticking.
They should fall right out of the cutter when you flip them over (the best time is when the little bubbles appear all over the shape). Wah-lah, you have LOVEly heart shaped pancakes that are great with syrup, strawberries and whipped cream too!
Happy Creating a Valentines Day Filled with LOVE,
