Three things I love lots…Girl Scouts, cookies and dolls alike. When I was at Toy Fair in February I had the honor of spending some time with the people from Adora Dolls. Not only are their products, dolls, clothing and plush superior but the people behind the scenes are amazing. And…THEY BELIEVE IN FAIRIES!
When I saw the Girl Scout dolls on the bottom shelf, I about flipped. I knew that we could do extraordinary fun things with them in our house. The girls love to play school and be the teacher. I thought, why not play Girl Scouts and be the leader.
On Friday of last week a surprise package arrived at our door…two dolls for the girls that look like them and wear uniforms just like them (a Junior and a Brownie). They opened them right away and hugged them then began to create.
Cookie sales have been going on for some time and as we wrap them up, we decided to create one last cookie booth…doll size. We used Tulip Brand Fabric Paints and Markers to create the signage and real sized cookie boxes for our backdrop wall.
The little sales booth is adorable, right down to the sign on the easel, a Girl Scout message that we live by.
If you would like to win a Girl Scout doll of your own, hop over to Doll Diaries where we are giving one away! Click on the picture below to get there.
I feel so fortunate to be able to create with the girls, with their dolls as we write for Doll Diaries together, and now to tie it together with Girl Scouting. So.Much.Fun!!! I have worked hard to create a career that works for me and my family. I guess it is really true, GIRLS CAN DO ANYTHING!
