Yay for Craft Lightning!
Here is a super fun and really quick and easy gift that you can create for a teacher gift. Teachers LOVE to get things like this. I know this because for a long time before I accidentally became an artist, I was an elementary school teacher. Note pads, gourmet treats (like a Starbucks card) and supplies are things that they can use right away and not feel like they have to save forever and a day.
To make the notes, fold a piece of paper into fourths then draw a black line on the folds. Put another piece of paper on top of it to show where the lines are. If you happen to have a light table, use it. If not, you can do it in a window or a well lit area.
Next, doodle your teacher’s name(s) at the top of each fourth of the paper with a black thin marker. Be sure to create some areas that can be colored in even it that means adding little doodled thingies like frogs, apples or school mascots.
You can tie it in ribbon and decorate the ribbon if you like. I decorated this ribbon with Scribbles paint from I Love to Create.
You can even do it a different size so it fits in a jar. Jar crafts are super trendy you know.
The jar can be decorated too. I used buttons from my Laura Kelly collection with Buttons Galore to decorate this jar. I added some Sharpie markers, a gift card to Starbucks and some hand sanitizer on a bed of colorful paperclips. I used a lot of black with white polkadots because I know these teacher loves this as much as me.
Happy making your teacher feel special!
