I had the pleasure of meeting Mindy Cone at SNAP Conference and got a copy of her book, Party Food for Girls, which she SIGNED for me! It is packed full of fabulous recipes and better than that…amazing styling tips and tricks for pretty food and PARTIES too.
My beautiful Goddaughter, Chloe, came by today and we made the fruity cereal pops. It took us about 20 minutes and oh my gosh, aren’t they adorable. The great thing, is they are sweet delicious too. She is the most fun to play around in the kitchen with and she LOVES the book. She gathered up what we needed for the recipe of her choice.
The recipe is simple. Mix together the melted butter and marshmallows with the cereal and shape the pops. Add sticks and drizzle melted white chocolate on them. I think this would work great with any cereal recipe like krispies, etc.
We got a little excited and created a heart version. Our tip for working with the sweet sticky mix is to butter up your hands first. It is greasy but works great!
…and some round pops with cake pop sticks too.
I highly recommend the book and the recipe!
