Last year Zoe painted on newspaper and her creations were awesome. The sad news is that newspaper doesn’t endure the test of time. This year we decided to step it up a notch and create autumn artwork on something we could keep, and use to decorate and celebrate and entertain with. I found these awesome buffet napkins today at World Market (6 for only 9.99) and bought them for her to use to create hand painted autumn napkins.
After school, she aproned up and got busy. Using Tulip Slick Fabric Paints and round sponge application brushes, she created six different napkins.
I helped a little and used a brush to paint the stems and leaves.
We put them aside to dry for a few hours before washing and ironing them.
I think she did a fabulous job. They are so autumnly gorgeous for our table and so special because they were “Made by Zoe”!
