Last weekend we went to Anderson Farms with the Neiman family (Laura from Housewife Hellraiser and clan) for a what I thought was going to be a little autumn fun. That “little” turned into a whole bunch of “A LOT! We had a blast to say the least! We could see the giant pumpkin from far away and the kids started getting excited.
We were barely in the door when the kids were dashing off to ride the Barnyard 500 Pedal Karts.
Then we all went into the corn mazes.
We took a quick snack break to catch our breath and did a little doodling and water color painting at our picnic table. If you know us, we always travel with some art supplies.
The ride out to the pumpkin patch was a fun time as we passed by the haunted sections that they use for night-time terror fun for older kids and grown-ups. A really cool old tractor pulled our wagon filled with kids anxious to find their pumpkins.
The pumpkin picking was fabulously awesome. We found all sizes, shapes and COLORS! It sure was a beautiful day to be out having family fun. We could see the mountains clearly and the skies were bright happy blue.
When we all picked out pumpkins, we rode back via tractor and went to the store to do a little shopping. We bought TONS of great autumn stuff including snacks, cooking sauces and decorations.
And then we ate. There are so many great food selections at the farm.
If you are in the Denver area, I highly recommend taking your family or gathering up your friends and heading to Anderson Farms! If you are far away, book a flight and come visit us in the mile high city. The farm is awesome fall fun and there are lots of other great things to do as well.
