Sometimes things just happen because of what is left out on the paper crafting table. These Hello Watermelon notes just happened today.
These scraps were leftover from the party favor boxes I made for the Sizzix blog and well, uh, they never really got put back away. These awesome papers are from JoAnn’s and I LOVE them!
I cut a watermelon half by hand from the pink then adhered it to the green with Aleene’s Tacky Tape. I cut the green a little bit bigger to create the rind. Then I cut a few little seeds from the black. It is actually black with white polka dots which by the way, is my jam!
I hand stamped the back with my favorite self-inking stamp that I designed for expressionery.com (and the envelope too because I like the stamp so much).
The scalloped card was cut using Sizzix’s die called Scallop Card from kraft card stock then I added the watermelon and trimmed the bottom around it. I used my Laura Kelly Sharpie to write ‘Hello’. And now to write a note and send someone some happy mail. I have just the person in mind.
Cheers and Happy Paper Crafting!!!
