Quick Ways For Helping Kids (of all ages) To Be Thankful

Things happen fast in today’s world.  Often times before there is a chance to reflect and celebrate gratitude, we are quickly on to the next life thing.  Here are a few quick ways for helping kids (of all ages) to be thankful this wonderful month of November and Thanksgiving.

Kids_Thankful_Activities

Cards:  Make cards and send them to people you love and appreciate.

Jars:  The second one is great for kids who are in that age bracket where privacy matters (a lot).  You know, the tween and teen years.  Create a turkey jar and fill it with rolled up pieces of paper for them to write things on.  They can put the lid on it and keep it in their bedrooms.

Table:  Make an interactive table for a holiday meal that offers the opportunity to reflect and share.  HERE is more information about this and how I did it.

Printable:  Another easy peasy thing to do is create a simple list.  Grab the FREE printable.  These would be fun to do as a family then hang on the fridge to share.

Bird Ornaments:  Make bird seed ornaments to be thankful for the outdoors and wildlife.

Wreath:  Craft decorations with thankful messages.

Journal:  The gratitude journal was shared last year in a couple of places.  I designed it for Colorado Parent Magazine but also shared it HERE on my blog.  Hope over and grab more information about it.

Happy Celebrating Being Thankful!

Cheers,

Laura
