Paper Plate Mushrooms for Wonderland

Creating mushroom crafts with paper plates is darling and fun.

We are sooooo excited about the new Alice Through the Looking Glass movie that hits theaters this week!  To celebrate before we head to the show, we are having a party.  These paper plate mushrooms for Wonderland will be our crafty project for our guests to make.  Making this one was so fun that I am pretty sure I will be making more for decorations too!

You will need Chinet plates (small round), red and tan paint, paintbrushes, Tombow Power Adhesive Tabs, scissors, white buttons and ribbon.

Chinet Plate Craft Supplies

Cut your mushroom pieces from the plates.  I love Chinet because they are the best quality and handle the paint well without getting flimsy and falling apart.

Paint them and let them dry.  They dry quickly if you put on one good layer of paint.

Add buttons and put them together with the Power Tabs.  I LOVE these Power Adhesive Tabs because they are STRONG and there is no drying time like you have with glue…which makes them PERFECT for party crafting.  You can get them on Amazon here (this is an affiliate link).

Ta Da! Super cute, don’t you think?  The Queen of Heart Treat Cones are simply cake cups with baked cake in the bottom, frosting and bit of whipped cream topped with sprinkles.  The decorations of straws and hearts make them super darling.  You can serve them on Chinet plates because they are so super sturdy.
