A few nights ago I hosted a crafty happy hour at Two22 Brew and it was a blast. Combining craft beer with crafty people is a great thing to do. The brewery is a fantastic place to gather and share stories, ideas and life with friends. I first discovered the brewery through a friend and went in to try it out. I was greeted with such genuine kindness. It is a great neighborhood place. The beer is excellent too. My favorite is the Blonde. My first time in, I was alone so I took my doodle pad and without even knowing it, created the invite for Crafty Happy Hour. Ta Da!
Before you even enter the brewery, you can tell that it is awesome sauce waiting to happen. I mean look at this awesome building under the beautiful Colorado sky.
For Crafty Happy Hour, I always make lots of new paper crafting kits. Each participant buys two for $10 and then created cards with the materials inside and use of the “craft bar” items (washi tape, buttons, tape runners, embellishments, die-cuts, etc.) while drinking ale and making new friends.
Two22 Brew doesn’t sell food BUT they host some amazing food trucks. Thursday night was one of the best, Mile High Cajun. I ordered the Pikes Peak Tacos and the Cajun Fries (Gluten FREE) and let me tell you, they are delicious. They are so delicious that I am now following them on Facebook to find out where they will be and when so I can go for more!
The truck is awesome. They guys working in it let me peek in and it like a full size kitchen in a tiny space.
These are some of the creations from the evening!
And these are the darling Udderly Smooth Body Lotion tubs that were in the goody bags!
I am so grateful to the sponsors that make these gathering work. Thank you to Udderly Smooth, Sizzix, AdornIt and Tombow for being awesome to work with. I either license art to these fantastic partners or am an ambassador for their brand. I love them all so much!
I could never do this without support. My bestie Laura (from Housewife Hellraiser) is the bomb. Her kiddos helped create the kits and she…she is always so great and empowering and encouraging. I love her! Here we are at the event.
And then there is Rina from Mothership Scrapbook Gal who started this whole craft beer and craft things going together. She is my inspiration and my dear friend too. I love her to pieces.
If you are local and would like to attend the next time we do this, comment and let me know!
Cheers and Beers and Crafty Happy,
