This is refreshing salad with freshly picked strawberries and lime.

We love this salad so much.  We call it ‘Strawberry and Friends Salad’ because we don’t always put the same ingredients in it.  For this post, with a defined recipe, we are calling it Strawberry Lime Juice Tossed Salad.  It is great because it is all so good for you.  With lime juice as the natural marinade and dressing, it is a crispy sweet salad that I can eat all day long without guilt. Let’s make a tossed salad recipe with strawberries and lime juice.

Strawberry Lime Juice Tossed Salad Recipe with Strawberries

Ingredients for Salad

  • Lettuce
  • Strawberries
  • Tomatoes
  • Melon
  • Avocado
  • Cucumber
  • Red Onion – 1 Whole
  • Lime Juice – 1 Cup

You will need bunches of fresh fruits (and some veggies too).  The best thing about this salad is that you can substitute ingredients.  This is how it starts.

Cut the red onion into small pieces. Marinate the red onion slices in lime juice.  This is super important.  The longer you do this, the better the salad will taste. I tend to do this the night before and let it sit in the refrigerator over night.

Chop up all of your fruits and veggies. The fruits and vegetables can be cut into small or large pieces. For this salad, I recommend removing the skin if adding cucumbers.

Create a bed of lettuce and cover it with the chopped fruits and veggies. Pour the onions and the lime juice over the top the toss. Serve immediately. This is the best time to eat the Tossed Salad Recipe with Strawberries!

You can substitute and add ingredients to this delicious salad.  It is great with feta cheese, apples and walnuts too.
