SWAPS are such a fun part of Girl Scouting. The creativity and love shared between the girls through the exchanging of SWAPS makes my heart so happy. Because SWAPS are not supposed to go on the actual Girl Scout vest, it is a good idea to provide an alternate place for the girls to collect. I made this bag with Kunin Group felts so the girls could store their SWAPS to give out on the inside and display their collection on the outside.
It is CRAFT LIGHTNING – the Scouting Series and I am so honored to be co-hosting with Country Chic Cottage and 30 Minute Crafts. Be sure to check out our three blogs all week long to get your fill of ideas. You are sure to be inspired!
It starts like this. I used the patterns from our Girl Scout Mother/Daughter camping trip thanks to Sarah Underwood, my co-leader!!!
And ends like this!
Here is a super simple and fun idea for SWAPS if you are going to an outing as a troop and exchanging with other troops. The mini bags hold the Girl Scout Promise. Our girls (ages 10-13) love to hand stitch so this is perfect for them. To decorate the little bags, the girls used my Sizzix dies to make tiny shapes. These are from the Badges collection!
We hand stamped each one with one of our troop stamps from Expressionery. SO CUTE!
