DIY Father’s Day Clay Key Ring

Father’s Day means so much to dads and when their kiddos give them handmade gifts, it is even more special.  This DIY Father’s Day clay key ring is perfect for the dads who want to carry their little tokens of love around wherever they go.  It is made with Sculpey Bake Shop clay which means that is is a totally kid friendly project.  This post was sponsored but the ideas and opinions are mine.

Start with a variety of colors in Bake Shop clay.  Supply the kiddos with tools too, the clay knife and maybe a roller or two.

Mold the clay into a flat piece that will act as a base.  It needs to be pretty thin if you intent to put the key ring through the hole that will be placed at the end.  Keep the overall piece about the size of a key.  I don’t think most dads want a huge clay masterpiece in their pockets.

Add details.  This is a time when kids can add whatever reminds them of their dads.

Flip the key ring decoration over if you want to etch your name in the back.

Bake your key ring decorations following the directions in the packaging.  Once it is totally cool, add the metal ring.  Ta Da!

Be sure to check back tomorrow for yet another awesome DIY Father’s Day gift idea!
Cheers to Dads,

Laura
