Kids love cherries on top. Cherries can go on top of so many things to create amazing and yummy happiness in the lunchbox. I am excited to share a bunch of fun ways to add Cherryman cherries to your kiddos’ lunches (and some darling lunch box notes too). This post is sponsored by Cherryman but the thoughts and ideas are my own. Did you know that Cherryman has Farm to Market cherries. They do! I buy them at my local World Market but you can also grab them online.
First up in the lunchbox, peanut butter and cherry sandwiches. For real, they are awesome. Because cherries are a fruit, adding them instead of jelly gives this sandwich a fantastic twist.
Second, cherries in the fruit. Fruit cocktails are a great way to get nutrition in the lunchbox. Simply cut up your child’s favorite fruits and add a bunch of cherries in the mix. Leave the stems on. They are half the fun.
Third, bake up a batch of cherry crinkle cookies for a delicious dessert treat.
Fourth, whip up a batch of these cereal bars that I shared during a Kid’s CREATIVE Spring Break.
Fifth, just put the whole jar in the lunchbox (better for middle and high school aged kids) to share with friends. I do this! They thank me. Their friends thank me too.
Don’t forget to add notes to lunches. Sometimes my kids say that the notes we put in get them through rough days. Sometimes I send notes to their friends too. They have a lunch bunch group going so I kind of know who sits with who.
School can be brutal. Kids can be mean. Teachers can be harsh. Cherries and notes can make it a little better for your children until they can arrive home to hugs and love. This printable has 6 different notes; 2 jokes, 2 messages and 2 blanks.
Cheers to Back to School, being CREATIVE and cherries.
