Quick and Simple SPRING Garland

This quick and simple SPRING garland is a super awesome project for beginning crafters and kiddos.  It is made with paper and ribbon to create a darling decoration to welcome this time of year that is filled with budding new thoughts and dreams.  This post is sponsored by Xyron but the ideas and opinions are my own.

DIY Spring Garland Paper Papercrafting

To get started, you will need the following items:

  • Xyron Creative Station
  • Xyron Mega Runner
  • Paper in a Variety of Spring Colors (I used the papers I designed for Adorn-It.)
  • Hole Puncher
  • Scissors (to trim in necessary)
  • Ribbon (30 inches long
  • Sizzix Dies and Die-Cut Machine (Banner, Letters and My Laura Kelly Flower #6)

Use the die-cut machine to cut out six banner pieces.  Then cut out the letters to spell S-P-R-I-N-G.  Put the letters through the Creative Station to get them completely covered in adhesive that will keep them sticking to the banner pieces.

Peel the letters off of the paper and stick them to the banner pieces.  Hole punch the top corners of the banner pieces and thread a piece of ribbon through them in the order to spell S-P-R-I-N-G.

Cut out flowers with the die-cut machine using my flower die that I designed for Sizzix.  The centers will be separate pieces so you can mix and match.  Use Xyron’s Mega Runner to adhere the flowers to the garland.  You can adhere the two sides to two banner pieces to keep the garland attached better.

It was SUPER windy when I was trying to take this photograph.  If you want to see how great this adhesive works on the windiest of days, check out the footage from my Instagram post.

If you are as excited about springtime as I am, you might like this fun coloring sheet.  You can download it and color away.  If you print it on watercolor paper, you can paint it too.

I printed it on watercolor paper, painted it, then ran it through the Xyron Creative Station with the magnet cartridge to create a magnet for my refrigerator.

Cheers to Spring, to Decorating and To Adhesive that WORKS,

Laura
