I am so crazy excited to share this organized and creative crafting while camping article with you because not only did the Deflecto Stackable Storage Caddy (aka Stack ‘N Go Caddy) make our trip easier but it made our project time a ton more fun. The separate storage compartments that held our supplies made transporting them deep into the Rocky Mountains effortless. I cannot tell you how much better this was than prior trips with plastic tubs of baggies filled with all the things. We took everything we needed to create three crafty projects and I am not only going to share the supplies and the awesome storage but also the THREE projects. This post is sponsored by Deflecto but the ideas and opinions are my own.
Traveling with the Stack ‘N Go Caddy made it so simple to transport supplies without any messes or spills.
This is where we were in the woods. Do you see my red Journey in the distance?
The Stack ‘N Go Caddy is awesome! With it you can stack and carry lot of caddies that use the lift & lock feature. It can hold up to 40 pounds combined! The hinged snap-tight lids keep craft supplies secure and in place. They are super easy to take in and out when you need to use them. The containers are clear to you can totally see what is inside of each one. This seems like a no-brainer but let me tell you, lots of storage containers out there are not clear and THAT is a problem. The stack makes it so easy to grab what you need for a project and carry it around. These are the supplies we used to make dream catchers.
After taking the two trays in the stack apart, it was so easy to clip the lids together with a giant clothespin to keep them open and the supplies easy to grab.
They came out completely fabulous. We left them in the cabins to help the summer campers with their sleep magic!
Here are the steps to make a dream catcher of your own. You will need the following materials and supplies:
- Embroidery Hoop
- Craft Floss
- Pony Beads
- Wrap the hoop with the floss tightly, using the colors you love most.
- Cut floss about 12-18 inches in length and tie it to the hoop
- Braid or twist the floss.
- Add beads and feathers to embellish by tying them into the floss.
We also made kindness rocks out in the middle of the woods. It was so crazy fun and easy with everything all together and organized in the stackable caddy.
With separate containers for paints, brushes and dotters it was so organized.
They all came out so darling. We left them around our campsite to bring happiness to the next troop of girls.
We finally got to make giant vision boards. With a separate container for scissors, adhesive, paint brushes and Mod Podge, it was crazy easy to keep things all together. I have to say that the Stack N Go makes cleaning up a breeze too. It is so fantastic when everything has a place to go back to. The girls were so proud of their boards.
Taking a troop of Girl Scouts camping is always a lot of fun but requires a lot of preparation and planning. These girls are great and make it worth every minute of time that I spend creating experience for them to learn and grow.
They do such a great job of keeping things together and organized. The Stack N Go with the clear containers make it so do-able for them with lots of little pieces and things.
If you have every worried or even wondered about whether crafting at camp is possible with all of the supplies and materials, this post hopefully has given you the confidence to do it. Grab a Stack ‘N Go and load it up with what you need! You will be so glad that you did.
Cheers to Camping and Making All The Things,
