DIY Family Gratitude Journal

This DIY family gratitude journal is a fabulous way to keep track of thoughts and memories through the years.  Each November, put it back out and let everyone write in it about the things in their life that they appreciate and are thankful about.  It is super fun to go back and read in years later as times change, kids grow and awareness heightens.  This post is sponsored by Xyron but the ideas and opinions are my own.

You will need the following materials and supplies.

  • Composition Book
  • Xyron  Mega Runner
  • Decorative Scrapbook Paper
  • Twine
  • Sizzix Big Shot Machine and Dies (Foods/Meat and Foods/Dairy) OR Printable Template
  • Google Eyes
  • Black Marker

Start by adhering cardstock to the cover of the composition book using your Xyron Mega Runner.  Then add your other decorative cutouts.

Embellish with a black marker, google eyes and twine tied through the spine.

Ta Da!

While I had my supplies on the table,  I whipped up some darling place cards for the table on Thanksgiving.

This is a great craft project to do with your kiddos.  Including them in the making of things creates connection to the celebration in a way that support their family bonding.

Cheers to Gratitude,

Laura
