Teacher Appreciation gifts can be things for the teacher or things that she/he can use in the classroom. Often times teachers will have wish lists. All you have to do is ask them. I did a poll on Facebook and 50% of the responses were teachers that preferred a gift for the classroom over a gift for their self. When I was teaching, I had WAYYYYY enough mugs to last a lifetime from kiddos. I am funny about homemade foods so was a little wary of the baked treats in tins. I loved it most when my parents went together and purchased things that I wanted to use to teach. It is how I got some of my greatest tools. I am sharing a printable matched up with Keva Contraptions from Mindware. This post is sponsored by Mindware but the thoughts, ideas and opinions are my own (as is the art on the darling printable for the Building Set Teacher Gift Tag).
Like it says on the box, Keva Contraptions is a set of 200 pine planks and 2 Keva balls. With it you can build endless structures and make the balls bounce, roll and twist through your creations. This building/construction set is fantastic because it comes with a guide book that is packed with ideas and plans. We broke it out and had a ball created an awesome run with a drop hole shaft and long ball run.
Keva planks are the perfect addition to a S.T.E.M. event and lucky for you, I have a plan for such an event free on the blog.
You can enter to win YOUR OWN SET of Keva Contraptions from MindWare Toys!
While I was building this with Zoe (age 13), we talked and shared ideas. I am probably not the first to say that creating opportunities to share a mutual (and successful project with an eighth grade girl can be a challenge. We actually had a “ball”. (See what I did there….?)
This would make a fantastic gift for grades one and up. It offers endless learning for S.T.E.M., S.TE.A.M., Art Education, Science, Math and so much more. There is actually an entire website dedicated to providing information about Keva Planks.
To create the building set teacher gift tag, download and print it first. It is FREE which is awesome.
Cut it out. Punch a hole. Ribbon it to your gift.
If you are okay with using a few of the planks in a permanent manner, you can create a little schoolhouse and personalize it to go with your gift.
Another great building set that would work with this printable tag is Q-BA-Maze. We love this one too. It makes fascinating marble runs!
Cheers to Celebrating Teachers While Supporting Them in The Classroom!
PS: I think teachers would love this game too. It is one of the best! I shared it a while back with some great ways to turn the game into a party.
